[2] table 要素の summary 属性には、 表の目的や構造の要約を指定します。

この属性は、主として発話や点字のような非視覚UA で利用者の補助となることを想定しています。

仕様書: HTML 4 IW:HTML4:"struct/tables.html#adef-summary"

[3] この属性の値は %Text; (SGML 的には CDATA) です。 自然言語による説明文を記述します。

この属性は省略可能です。省略した場合は要約無しとなります。
