EXProc is intended to become a community initiative to provide extensions for XProc, as EXSLT provides extensions for XSLT.

[34] 今年の活動状況を見た感じ、

  • 一般大衆からの関心はない
  • 関わっているのは昔から XML に関わっているいつもの面々ばかり
  • JSON、SQL、ファイルシステムなどなど夢が広がりんぐ
  • 今後の方向性はいろいろな意見がある
  • とりあえず 2.0 の前に今の路線の延長線上の 1.1 を作る
  • だが W3C WG は関心不足で閉鎖されてしまった
  • CG で開発を続けるぞ、といっているが数週間に1回くらいの低頻度でしか誰も作業していない
  • 標準ライブラリーの他に EXProc として拡張ライブラリー作るぞー、という気持ちだけはある
  • 意気込みと風呂敷はどんどん広がるが開発作業と実装と利用はまったく進まない
