[DFN[インド共和国紀元]]は、
[[インド]]憲法が[[施行]]され完全な[[独立国]]となった[TIME[1950-01-26]]を初年の[[開始][年始]]とする[[紀年法]]
([[建国紀元]]) です。

[[インド]]の連邦や諸州の[[法令]]の前文で使われています。
それ以外の用例があるのか、不明です。

[5] 第1年から第3年までの用例は見つかっていません。

「the fourth year of the Republic of India」
とする[[法律]]がありますが [SRC[>>3]]、
制定年が合いません。他のサイトの同じ[[法律]]では
「Thirty-fourth」
となっており、転記ミスとみられます。

他に第4年の用例は見つかっていません。

現在見つかっている最初の用例は、第5年
「the Fifth Year of the Republic of India」

です。

30-Apr-1954 の法律第21号

20-May-1954 の法律第27号
[CITE[The Delivery of Books and Newspapers (Public Libraries) Act, 1954]]
から[[インド共和国紀元]]の[[年号]]が入っています。

でも現用されているようで、
