[DFN[[CODE(XML)@en[[[scale]]]]]] は、[[数式]]が大きすぎるときに小さなフォントを使って[[レンダリング]]するべきことを表します。

それがぴったり合う程度の大きさの[[フォント]]を使うべきであることを意味しています。
逆に小さすぎるときはそのままで、より大きな[[フォント]]を使うことはしません。 [SRC[>>2]]

[4] あまりに小さくなると可読性に影響があるので、[[拡大]]する機能がついてると便利そうですね。
