[[要素]]の[[内容属性]]と区別するため、 [DFN[IDL [RUBYB[属性]@en[attribute]]]]といいます。

* 歴史

[[内容属性]]と区別して [[DOM]] [[界面]]上の[[属性]]を「[DFN[DOM [RUBYB[属性]@en[attribute]]]]」
と呼ぶようになったのは、 (少なくても正式な仕様上の用語としては) [[Ian Hickson]]
が最初と見られます。 [[Web Applications 1.0]]、[[Web Forms 2.0]] など [[WHATWG]]
仕様では当初から[[内容属性]]と[[DOM属性]]、[[オブジェクト特性]]と[[CSS特性]]といった用語の区別法を定義していました。
