[1] XHTML2 の大域属性 type は、src 属性による埋め込み資源の媒体型を表すものでした。 また、大域属性 hreftype は、 href 属性によるリンク先の資源の媒体型を表すものでした。 同様に大域属性 restype は、 resource 属性による参照先の資源の媒体型を表すものでした。 従来の HTML の type 属性のようにヒントを表すものではなく、 HTTP の Accept: 頭欄に相当する構文と意味を持つものとされていました。

歴史

[70] 大域属性としての type は XHTML2 の2つ目の作業原案で src と共に追加されました。
