PCなどの機能を限定して、Webページの閲覧だけしかできないように制限したモードのこと。「KIOSK」とは、フランス語で「(駅や広場にある)売店」という意味。道路や店、展示物の案内などに置かれている、一般ユーザー向けの情報表示用の端末のことをKIOSK端末という。KIOSKモードとは、このような用途に利用される、Webブラウザの利用方法の1つ。
