HTML Components HTC
Internet Explorer 5 が実装した機能の1つ。
カスタムタグに対してイベントハンドラー等を記述できた。
現在の Web Components に当たる。
HTC は HTML と別のファイルで、
script
以外は通常の HTML とかけ離れた形式だが、
公式ドキュメントで HTC は HTML ファイルだと案内されている。
なお、カスタムタグと違って
xmlns
属性の指定は求められていない。

W3C
に提出された仕様書では xmlns が指定されているが、
実装されている要素がすべて規定されているわけではない。NoteHTC
DHTML behaviors
Internet Explorer 5 が実装した機能の1つ。
著者が作成した HTC を指定する他、 default behaviors
も指定できた。

Internet Explorer
に組み込まれていた DHTML behavior のこと。
JavaScript や DOM の標準 API にない便利機能やストレージなどが提供されていた。
VML や HTML+TIME もこの形で利用するものとなっていた。
