[30] 多くの視覚的利用者エージェントでは、viewport にファイルやハイパーリンク、 URL やホストのテキストがドロップされた場合でイベントリスナーによって処理されない場合、 あるいはアドレスバー、スクロールバー、タブその他利用者エージェント定義の場所にドロップされた場合に、 そのファイルやハイパーリンクやテキストの表す URL やホストへの navigate が利用者に指示されたものとみなして動作します。

[34] Chrome は viewport のスクロールバーへのドロップを著者のスクリプトに渡さず、 著者のスクリプトが無い場合の DnD 同様に扱っていましたが (例えばリンクをドロップした場合必ずそのリンク先に navigate していましたが)、 最近、著者のスクリプトに渡されるように変わったようです。 2017-07-14T04:25:00.00Z

[42] DnD 受け取れる機能があるわけでもないのに DnD イベントをキャンセルする糞サイトは滅びてほしい。

[43] そして Web ブラウザーはそういう糞サイトの対策のため、意味なく DnD イベントをキャンセルする糞サイトを検出してそれを無視してちゃんと DnD された URL の navigate を実行する方法を考えてほしい。使いにくくてたまらん。
